Teenager Hamlet began as an experiment by Toronto painter Margaux Williamson who was, at the time, trying to learn something new. The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was picked up for distrubtion in North America. Most recently it was shown at The Art Gallery of Ontario and an updated version was placed on UbuWeb in 2012 .
